Many of you are regular Bible readers and have subscribed to Kids For Yah for many years.  But some of you are new and are just starting to learn about the Bible. For the sake of our new subscribers, here are some basic facts to consider: You’ll notice two divisions in the Bible—the Old Testament (Covenant) and the New Testament (Covenant).

      Is That in the Bible
         Leaves of Fall

It is written, “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of Yahweh.”

    —Matt. 4:4 (Deut. 8:3)

There are a total of 66 books in the Bible—39 in the Old Testament and 27 in the New.  Get familiar with the names of each book in your Bible (you’ll be quizzed later!)  We believe the entire Bible was written in Hebrew, even though the New Testament is translated from Greek.  We don’t have any  original Hebrew New Testament manuscripts, neither are there any original Greek manuscripts. You will find that the first four books of the Bible have similar stories.  These are called the Evangels (Gospels).

The Bible is quite an amazing book!  In it, you’ll find history, poetry, miracles, letters, prophecies, and much more!  Most importantly, you’ll find Yahweh’s plan of salvation.  Make it a daily habit to read Yahweh’s Word.  If you don’t understand what you are reading, ask your parents for guidance.  Happy reading!
