Q. Why don’t more people teach and use the names of Yahweh and His Son, Yahshua?

A.  Had Yahweh desired, He could have prevented His Name from being disguised or replaced with titles, as has happened today.  Anciently, all Israel knew His Name and heard the priests proclaim it.
            Yahweh says rebellious Israel profaned His Name through disobedience to His laws.  Notice Ezekiel 20:9: But for the sake of my Name I did what would keep it [My name Yahweh] from being profaned in the eyes of the nations they lived among and in whose sight I had revealed myself to the Israelites by bringing them out of Egypt,” NIV.
            Yahweh had given Israel His laws at Sinai after He had miraculously delivered them from Egyptian bondage.  But they worshipped idols, broke the Sabbaths, and yet claimed to be His chosen people, the people of Yahweh!  They lived like pagans and therefore Yahweh rejected them.
            Rather than have them pollute His Name any more, He allowed His personal Name Yahweh to be obscured from the eyes and ears of the general public lest they profane it in a similar manner.  Now they use substitute titles for His Name, even in profanity and cursing.
            When Yahweh made His Covenant with Israel, He began with the words, I, Yahweh, am your Elohim Who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery.”  He then gave them His Ten Commandments and other laws which Moses wrote down as the foundation of the Covenant.  Notice that He first revealed His Name Yahweh by thunder, lightening, and the trumpet blast, Exodus 19:16.  It was that important!
            Yahweh reveals Himself as One “Who becomes whatever His people need of Him,” as explained in the accompanying article.  His children are those who do His will.  His sons and daughters are the obedient mankind who have accepted His way of life.
            The world today is in wholesale rebellion against Yahweh’s laws.  This is apparent in our society’s increasing crimes of robbery, murder, lying, cheating, adultery—all of which are against Yahweh’s law.
            The Apostle Paul chided believers in Romans 2:24, “For the name of Yahweh is blasphemed among the Gentiles through you as it is written.”  Apparently the Roman assembly fell short of glorifying Yahweh’s Name because of disobedience.
            In a similar way, there are many pagan influences dominating churchianity today that run counter to Yahweh’s word. Examples are not keeping His Saturday Sabbath, not observing His Feast Days, but keeping pagan days of Easter, Xmas, New Year’s days and so forth.
            Most of those in churchianity are not even aware that they are keeping the wrong days on which to worship Almighty Yahweh.  They are actually doing what ancient Israel did in profaning His Name, except that Israel knew better!
            Today Yahweh is not trying to save the world.  Everyone will have the opportunity for salvation.  For most of humanity, the opportunity will come in the second resurrection.  But you and I have our opportunity right now!
            Your Bible clearly shows that salvation is bound up in one Name, and one Name only, the salvation Yahweh has provided in His Son Yahshua.  Notice: “Neither is there salvation in any other; for there is none other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved,” Acts 4:12.
            Clearly, there is but one Name by which we can be saved, only the specific Name Yahshua.  We cannot substitute another name any more than we can substitute Sunday for the Sabbath or baptize by sprinkling.
            The Savior commended the Philadelphian Assembly, and being aware of their deeds says, “I know that you have little strength, yet you have kept My word and have not denied my Name,” Rev. 3:8 NIV.
            This implies that there were those who had denied His Name, meaning that there are those who have not kept His word.  Denying His Name, according to the dictionary, means declaring it to be untrue; refusing to accept as true; refusing to acknowledge as important and necessary for salvation.
            In His wisdom, Yahweh has limited the knowledge of His truth, including His Name, during the present time, although the Names of Yahweh and His Son Yahshua are becoming more prominent in our day.
