Q.  Why do you place so much emphasis on the Sacred Name?

A.  Without question the Commandment most often broken by the majority of those alleging that they are “Commandment keepers” is the clear injunction to keep His Name holy – the Third Commandment.  By ignoring the Name He has revealed to those seeking truth, many have carelessly broken even the first four of the Ten Commandments.
The First Commandment begins, “I am Yahweh your Elohim, who has brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.”  Most of us were in ignorance of Yahweh and His truth until He called us out of the ways of the world to follow in the footsteps of His Son.  We were in bondage to pagan traditions and the demands of social and worldly customs and legacies.  We are to be transformed by the renewing of our mind, Romans 12:2.
When taking hold of His Covenant, being determined to live His way of life, many ignorantly continue calling Him by titles such as L-rd, Eternal, G-d, etc.  Many still pray the so-called “L-rd’s Prayer” of Matthew 6:9-13, where the first sentence includes “Hallowed be Thy Name.”  But most do no even know what His Name is, so how can they set His Name apart for reverent use?
Isaiah 52:6 declares that His people shall know His Name.  Psalm 22:22 states that Yahshua would declare Yahweh’s Name to the brethren, and Daniel 9:19 along with 2Chronicles 7:14 say that His people will be called by His Name.  These are just a few reasons we place so much emphasis on His Name.
About 300 years ago before the Messiah, the Jews had begun using surrogates for Yahweh’s Name, reasoning that if they did not use His Name, they could not blaspheme it.  To be sure, they handled Yahweh’s Name with deep reverence and with awe did they utter it in private prayer, believing that invoking His personal Name brought Yahweh Himself into their midst.
Today we are faced with groups claiming to be devout Commandment-keepers who insist it is not necessary or even advisable to call upon Yahweh’s Name.  However, this idea is not based on Scripture or even reverential fear or awe.  They actually are denying His Name, Revelation 3:8.
